Sorry to derail, but my early childhood soundtrack was about 1/3 either this song or Debbie Boone’s “You Light Up My Life”—either sung or in Muzak form. At one time it seemed one would never escape these songs, and we were all trapped in a sappy, syrupy, earth-toned Purgatory
Climate despair among our youth is actually a very serious problem. I’m committing to wearing T-shirts that say “Climate Change is a Hoax” all summer.
Prepared to deal with Hoax Deniers, preferably older ones and likely “Karen’s” as my experience with this has been so far. Nothing changes a young person’s mind faster than witnessing a Karen be beat silly with sound arguments.
I have a daughter in college. She started in on the Climate Scare BS and I simply sent her a string of links referencing all the other scares through recent history (70's on) and asked her when they ever got it right before and why would anyone believe anything they say now?
I bet this so called cross-sectional descriptive survey etc. etc. is nothing but a probe into the youngsters' minds whereby to find out whether the climate narrative is coming across so as to fulfill the political demand that ordered it. And I am sure the results are being threshed to that purpose. Also that the narrative will be adjusted in accordance with the yield of the threshing machine.
When it comes down to the basics, the young people who are oh so worried, are just as likely to do fuck all, aside from occasionally buying some “carbon neutral” crap, like boomers.
It’s all just pseudo religious hysteria. If you’re “worried about climate change” but not worried enough to throw out the AC, you’re not actually worried.
"“(1) emotions and thoughts about climate change”. Why would the musings of “youth” about a physical science about which they are by-definition ignorant concern any person except parents?"
Why are the thoughts and emotions of youth a concern. Well, this is about testing how well the propaganda works, so it is the sole concern of The Science (tm) with regard to climate change. They want concern, and lots of it. Might inspire more brats to destroy another cherished artwork ... in the name of The Science (tm).
As luck would have it... as of this morning most weather models are predicting a historic blizzard and polar plunge for the mid Atlantic states and New England in the second week of January.
It will be interesting to see how this will be "suppressed in the news" over the next week. Climate Desks everywhere will no doubt be hoping this doesn't happen.
Going on since 1978. (a time period the U.S. Senate was considering an international treaty to address environmental impact review of major technological' industrial changes)
And China intending on expanding the windbreak into a huge shelterbelt?
The Taklamakhan shelter belt work continues to 2050. Good from China's technocratic POV but a full on catastrophe in the making for the western USA. by SAV. Geography minor UCONN.
Another desperate attempt to stay relevant by a flailing academic with a mediocre, at best, intellect.
Sensing his impending submersion, the author desperately pins his hopes on making a raft of bullshit big enough to float him into the sunset of certain obscurity in retirement.
What's really interesting is how we all take it for granted that any disaster, like a plane crash in Korea, will be recorded by somebody with a camera.
Feel-ings, nothing more than feel-ings, Teardrops rolling down on my face, Feel-ings, for all my life I′ll feel it, Feel-ings, wo-o-o feelings
Wo-o-o
Feel-ings, for all my life I′ll feel it, Feel-ings, wo-o-o feel-ings, Wo-o-o, feel-ings
Feel-ings, wo-o-o feel-ings, Wo-o-o feel-ings

She stopped the climate scare regurgitation.
It’s all AWFL “Munchausen by proxy”. “My child is devastated by climate change, see how concerned and wonderful I am!”

Polls like this are useless.

And did you know the link between a desert in far western China and western rainfall?

Trauma based mind control.
Remember the pandemic on TV?
"Should we be worried?", on all channels, non-stop.
Being worried = science.
O', if only meanies like you would click your heels together three times.

I call it The Thunberg Effect.
