William isn't the Boolean "or" like this V and the "and" an upside-down V? Or perhaps you mean U from set theory?

That's the problem. There's lots of ways to write it.

So Jaynes died in 1998 but Probability Theory: The Logic of Science first edition was 2003. Did some psychic channel him?
