I've been on this planet for more than a few decades and can never recall a time when western governments demonized and restricted the rights and freedoms of its citizens, as has happened during this nightmare. From NZ to Canada to the US, citizens refusing to roll up their sleeves were officially castigated by governments and even celebrities, groups who previously would never dream of saying anything controversial, lest it cost them a vote or shekel.
No, there is something much bigger at play here than bad governance, I'm afraid. Canada's health minister has recently stated that no Canadian will be fully vaccinated and will need to be jabbed every nine months. The ventriloquists had their Joe Biden dummy order 105 million doses of vaccine for this fall. This does not suggest that the "deadly" pandemic is ending.
(Not sure if you read Igor Chuidov and El Gato Malo's substacks, but there is a lot of troubling evidence that the injections harm immune systems and that disaster awaits us not too much further up the road.)
Yours is a reasonable explanation for this insanity. But if fear and stupidity are the only driving factors, why were preventive treatments (zinc +quercetin, Vit D, Ivermectin) completely denigrated. Frightened people reach out for anything to allay their fears, but here the opposite happened. The messaging against these treatments by government and corporate media was uniform and powerful, and lies (OK hospitals overflowing with horse paste ODs) were used to frighten people from seeking safe treatment. No, there is something in the shots that is critical to whatever is going on, I believe. That they got the midwits (or worse) in government on board to push them is unsurprising. But the level of coercion everywhere was unprecedented and alarming. Pharma cashed their checks before anyone rolled up their sleeves. They were not receiving direct deposits when every needle entered an arm.
My BIl knows someone who works in the finance office of a major pharmaceutical company who saw that, in the spring of '21, the government was paying $1k for each vaccinated employee. Why?
