This oddly reminds me of a weird study where - forgive me on the details it's been a while - but I recall the odd result was the pattern made by the photons on the receiver would change based on if they went deliberately observed the light hitting the slit in front of the reciver, be it by camera or in person.

A materialist would conclude their observing caused the change. A non-materialist might conclude their observing caused something to go and change the result.

Maybe telekinesis, if real, is not so much human derived but more like a lesser prayer being answered by something.

If we start with some variation on the many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics (including potential worlds with only the one getting resolved), then free will would require that the spirit can choose which spacetime to inhabit -- in order to nudge the electrons in the brain.

If a spirit can nudge a brain, why not some other nudges?

The straightforward many worlds interpretation leads to solipsism. Ugh.

The potential worlds interpretation allows for competing magic.
